Spiced Red Lentil Spread with Lemongrass and Cinnamon Essential Oil

This red lentil spread recipe features Young Living edible lemongrass essential oil, partnered with cinnamon essential oil, for a unique flavour burst.

Spiced Red Lentil Spread with Lemongrass and Cinnamon Essential Oil

Ingredients

3/4 cup of red lentils

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, diced

3 cloves of garlic, minced

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

Salt and pepper

1 chilli, seeds removed

1 tsp turmeric, ground

1 tsp cumin

4 to 5 Tbsp greek yoghurt

1 drop of Young Living Lemongrass essential oil

1 drop of Young Living Cinnamon essential oil

Coriander, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook red lentils in water, simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat.

Add olive oil to a saucepan. Add onion. Cook for 2 minutes. Add garlic and mustard seeds. Stir. Add cooked lentils. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir through. Add chilli, turmeric, cumin and greek yoghurt, stir through. Add lemongrass essential oil and cinnamon essential oil. Serve, with coriander garnish.
